Dietary food for proven sulfite oxidase deficiency. To be used under medical supervision.
SOD Anamix infant is a methionine-free, cystine-free powdered diet food based on amino acids. For infants from birth to 12 months of age or as a supplement to 3 years of age. It contains essential and non-essential amino acids, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, minerals and trace elements.
This product should not be used as a sole source of protein but should be used in combination with another protein source to meet methionine, cystine, fluid and general nutritional needs of the infant.
As a dietary food for proven sulphite oxidase deficiency in infants from 0 to 12 months and as a supplement for children up to 3 years.

- Only to be used by patients with proven sulfite oxidase deficiency.
- Not suitable for parenteral use.
SOD Anamix infant is a food for medical use. Medical nutrition is recommended by a doctor or dietician.

Storage advice
Closed: Recommended to keep cool and dry.
Open: Use within 2 weeks after opening. Always close the can tightly after use. Packaged in protected atmosphere.
Prepared: Prepared food can be kept for a maximum of 24 hours, provided it is covered and stored in the refrigerator. However, for infants under 6 months of age, use the food within 1 hour of preparation and throw away any leftover food.
General information
One serving (15 grams of powder mixed with water to 100 ml) of SOD Anamix infant provides 2 grams of protein equivalent.
The daily dose of SOD Anamix infant must be determined by a doctor or dietician and depends on the age, weight and medical condition of the patient.
SOD Anamix infant is available from the pharmacy or a facility company.
Usage
It is recommended to dissolve 15 grams of powder (3 scoops) in 90 ml of water.
- Wash your hands and clean the preparation surface. Sterilize the bottle and teat.
- Boil fresh water for 5 minutes or, if using an electric kettle, until it turns off. Allow to cool for at least 30 minutes until it feels warm on the wrist. Pour the recommended amount of water into a sterilized baby bottle.
- Fill the supplied measuring spoon with powder and remove excess powder with a clean, dry knife. Do not press the powder into the measuring spoon.
- Add the recommended amount of scoops to the water. Close the bottle with the cap and shake until the powder is completely dissolved. Check the temperature on the inside of your wrist.
