Nutrison is a food for medical use and is recommended by your doctor or dietician for disease-related malnutrition or when you are at risk of malnutrition.
When will you receive Nutrison?
To ensure that your weight remains stable and to possibly gain weight again, you will be tube fed. There are different types of Nutrison tube feeding tailored to the needs of individual patients. Your doctor or dietitian knows which diet is right for you.
Nutrisone can be prescribed when you need a normal amount of protein and calories, but you are not getting enough nutrients. Or, for example, if you have swallowing problems or a chronic illness.
Nutrisone is low in lactose, gluten-free and contains no fiber. Contains milk, soy, fish.
Usage
Check for external abnormalities. Shake well before use. Do not dilute or add medication. Recommended to store cool and dry. Administer at room temperature. After opening, (foil punctured and administration system removed), close the bottle and store in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
If connected to the administration system (handled aseptically, closed system), the bottle has an attachment time of up to 24 hours.
If the cap is removed from the bottle (in use as an open system), it has a retention time of up to 8 hours.
