MSUD Lophlex LQ 20

MSUD Lophlex LQ 20 is a ready-to-use leucine, isoleucine and valine-free* amino acid preparation. It contains a balanced mix of essential and non-essential amino acids, carbohydrates, vitamins, trace elements and some minerals. Contains mixed fruit juice (from concentrate) and natural flavourings. With sugars and sweeteners. Contains docosahexaenoic acid (DHA).

*MSUD Lophlex LQ 20 may contain traces of leucine, isoleucine and valine (<1.5mg per 100ml) from fruit juice (from concentrate).

Description

This product cannot be used as a sole source of protein, but should be used in combination with a source of natural protein to ensure the patient’s leucine, isoleucine, valine, fluid and general nutritional needs are met. 

It is suitable as a dietary food for maple syrup urine disease in children from 4 years of age and adults, including pregnant women (in combination with folic acid supplementation).

  • To be used only under medical supervision.
  • Only to be used by patients with proven maple syrup urine disease.   
  • Not suitable for parenteral use. 

MSUD Lophlex LQ 20 is a food for medical use. Medical nutrition is recommended by a doctor or dietician. 

Storage advice 

Closed: Store cool and dry.

Open: Store in the refrigerator after opening and use within 24 hours.

General information

One pack (125 ml) of MSUD Lophlex LQ 20 provides 20 grams of protein equivalent.

The daily dose of MSUD Lophlex LQ 20 must be determined by a doctor or dietician and depends on the age, weight and medical condition of the patient.

MSUD Lophlex LQ 20 is available from the pharmacy or a facility company.

Usage

It is important to consume extra water or another drink at the same time as MSUD Lophlex LQ 20.
