Milupa Basic-F

Description

To be used only under medical supervision. Suitable for infants and children. not suitable for parenteral use.

The daily dose of Milupa basic-f should be determined by a doctor or dietician and depends on the age, weight and medical condition of the patient. The daily amount should be adjusted regularly according to the advice of a doctor or dietitian. 

Important: Should be supplemented with an appropriate source of fat depending on medical condition and individual tolerance. The diet should contain adequate amounts of energy and essential fatty acids to meet daily requirements.

Milupa basic-f is a food for medical use. Medical nutrition is recommended by a doctor or dietician.

Storage advice

Closed: Recommended to keep cool and dry. 

Open: Once opened, use within 4 weeks. Packaged in protected atmosphere.

Prepare: Use immediately after preparation. Any food left in the bottle should be discarded after 1 hour.

Preparation

In the interest of your baby’s health, follow the preparation and use guidelines carefully. Inaccurate preparation may pose a health risk to the infant.

Only use the supplied measuring spoon. Standard solution (14.4% w/v): one scoop (4.8g) of powder and 30 ml of water.

1. Wash your hands and clean the preparation surface. Sterilize the bottle and teat.
2. Boil fresh water for 5 minutes or, if using an electric kettle, until it turns off. Allow to cool for at least 30 minutes until it feels warm on the wrist. Pour the recommended amount of water into a sterilized baby bottle.
3. Fill the supplied measuring spoon with powder and remove excess powder with a clean, dry knife. Do not press the powder into the measuring spoon.
4. Add the prescribed amount of powder to the water. Close the bottle with the cap and shake until the powder is completely dissolved. Check the temperature on the inside of your wrist.
5. Any food left in the bottle should be discarded after 1 hour. Do not reheat the food.

Important notice: Powdered infant formula is not sterile. Infant formula should always be prepared immediately before feeding.

Shake or stir before use. The food should not be heated for more than 15 minutes before use. Do not allow food to boil, prepare or reheat in the microwave.

Dental care advice: Good dental care is important for infants and children, as frequent or prolonged contact of drinks and food with the teeth increases the risk of tooth decay. Brush the teeth after the last evening feeding.
