Description

MCT Oil is a ready-to-use mixture of MCT. MCT Oil is not suitable as a sole source of nutrition.

Suitable as a diet food within the MCT ketogenic diet or for fat malabsorption, such as Cystic Fibrosis. Suitable for infants, children and adults.

• To be used only under medical supervision.
• Only to be used by patients with fat malabsorption and other proven malabsorptions.
• Not suitable for parenteral use.
• WARNING: Taking large amounts of MCT Oil at one time may cause nausea or diarrhea.

MCT Oil is a food for medical use. Medical nutrition is recommended by a doctor or dietician.

Storage advice

Closed: Store in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight. Recommended storage temperature 4-25ᵒC.

Open: Use within 1 month after opening. Always close the bottle properly after use.

The daily dosage of MCT Oil must be determined by a doctor or dietician and depends on the age, weight and medical condition of the patient.

MCT Oil is available at the pharmacy or a facility company.

Preparation

MCT Oil can be mixed with liquids or used as part of a modular diet. MCT Oil is suitable for baking and frying. Not suitable for addition to tube feeding or infant formula, a fat emulsion (Liquigen) must be used.
