GTE Oil is a fat supplement, composed of Glycerol Tri-Erucate oil (GTE), suitable as a dietary food for adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD) in combination with a low-fat diet in children and adults.

• To be used only under medical supervision.
• Not suitable for parenteral use.
• Large amounts of GTE Oil can cause nausea/diarrhea.

GTE Oil is a food for medical use. Medical nutrition is recommended by a doctor or dietician.

• Open: maximum 4 weeks

General information

The daily dosage of GTE Oil must be determined by a doctor or dietician and depends on the age, weight and medical condition of the patient. GTE Oil is available at the pharmacy or a facility company.

Usage 

GTE Oil can be used as such or incorporated into dishes. It can also be taken as a kind of medication. Spread GTE Oil throughout the day. Use the GTE Oil around or during meals.

GTE Oil should not be heated at high temperatures. GTE Heat oil in a bain marie or in the microwave. At ± 40°C the fat is liquid and can be divided into ready-to-use portions. Store these small quantities in a sealed container in the refrigerator. When in use, heat only the amount necessary.
