Description
If you receive tube feeding for more than 3 weeks, the Flocare G-tube tube is the most comfortable solution. The doctor will discuss this with you.
The Flocare G-tube is an ostomy tube. The stoma tube goes directly through the abdominal wall to the stomach. Before this tube is placed, a Flocare PEG tube is first placed through the abdominal wall into the stomach under anesthesia. The Flocare PEG tube can be replaced by the Flocare G-tube tube after 6 weeks.
The advantage of the Flocare G-tube probe is that this probe can be placed for a long period of time and is not visible under clothing.
Usage advice
The Flocare G-tube probe is often used in combination with the Flocare Infinity feeding pump. This feeding pump is very compact and lightweight and contributes to reliable administration of the correct amount of tube feeding.
