Description

Energivit is a powdered mixture of carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, minerals and trace elements.

Energivit is not suitable as a sole source of nutrition.

Food for medical use. Dietary food for conditions where protein intake is limited and where extra energy, vitamins, minerals and trace elements are required in infants and children.

Storage advice

Closed: Store cool and dry.

Open: Store cool and dry (not in the refrigerator). Close the can tightly immediately after use. Use within 1 month after opening.

Prepare: Do not reheat leftover food and throw it away after 1 hour.

General information

Energivit provides 0 grams of protein equivalent.

The daily dose of Energivit must be determined by a doctor or dietician and depends on the age, weight and medical condition of the patient.

Energivit is available from the pharmacy or a facility company.

Preparation

Energivit can be prepared as bottle feeding. It is recommended to dissolve 15 grams of powder (3 scoops) in 90 ml of water.

• Wash your hands well. Make sure the feeding bottle and teat are clean and sterilized.
• Bring water to the boil and let it boil for 5 minutes. Allow to cool for at least 30 minutes until lukewarm (37 °C). Pour the prescribed amount of water into a sterile feeding bottle.
• Loosen the measuring spoon through the powder. Smooth off excess powder with the back of a clean knife. Always use the supplied measuring spoon.
• Add the required number of scoops of Energivit to the water in the feeding bottle. Tighten the cap securely on the feeding bottle. Shake the bottle until the powder is dissolved. Before feeding, check the temperature of the food on the inside of the wrist.

Energivit can also be used as tube or drink feeding:

1. Use the supplied measuring spoon (5 g) or weigh the prescribed Energivit.
2. Add a little of the prescribed amount of water and stir with a fork until a smooth paste forms.
3. Add the rest of the water while stirring until the recommended solution is reached.
