Description

Important : Due to the low content of potassium, chloride, calcium, phosphorus and vitamin A in this product, which may be necessary in chronic renal failure, blood values ​​should be monitored and supplemented individually if necessary. Additional water may be necessary for adequate fluid intake.

Storage advice

Closed: Store cool and dry (not in the refrigerator). Packaged in protected atmosphere. Open: Close the can tightly immediately after use. Recommended to keep cool and dry. Use within one month after opening.

Prepare: Never reheat leftover food and throw it away within 1 hour.

General information

100 grams of Kindergen provides 7.5 grams of protein equivalent. The daily dose of Kindergen must be determined by a doctor or dietician and depends on the age, weight and medical condition of the patient.

Kindergen is available from the pharmacy or a facility company.

Usage

In the interest of your baby’s health, follow the preparation and use guidelines carefully. Inaccurate preparation may pose a health risk to the infant.

For tube and drink feeding:

Wash your hands and make sure all materials are clean. Use the supplied measuring spoon (5g) or weigh the prescribed amount of powder. Add a little of the prescribed amount of water to the required amount of powder and stir with a fork until a smooth paste forms. Add the rest of the water while stirring continuously until the prescribed solution is reached. Recommended to consume cold if used orally.

For bottle feeding:

Approximately 84 ml of water is required per 4 scoops (20g) of this product to obtain the recommended concentration of nutrition (20% w/v).

  • Wash your hands and clean the preparation surface. Sterilize the bottle and teat.
  • Boil fresh water for 5 minutes or, if using an electric kettle, until it turns off. Allow to cool for at least 30 minutes until it feels warm on the wrist. Pour the recommended amount of water into a sterilized baby bottle.
  • Fill the supplied measuring spoon with powder and remove excess powder with a clean, dry knife. Do not press the powder into the measuring spoon.
  • Add the prescribed amount of powder to the water. Close the bottle with the cap and shake until the powder is completely dissolved. Check the temperature on the inside of your wrist.
  • Any food left in the bottle should be discarded after 1 hour. Do not reheat the food.

Important notice : Powdered infant formula is not sterile. Infant formula should always be prepared immediately before feeding.

Shake or stir immediately before use. The food should not be heated for more than 15 minutes before use. Do not allow food to boil, prepare or reheat in the microwave.

Usage advice

The recommended nutritional concentration is 20% w/v (ie 20g product mixed with water to a volume of 100ml) and provides 1kcal/ml. The osmolality of this solution is 280 mOsmol/kg H2O. A lower concentration may be necessary initially until tolerance is achieved. Additional water may be necessary for adequate fluid intake, depending on the condition
