Description

A lysine-free, low-tryptophan powdered diet food based on amino acids. Contains essential and non-essential amino acids, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, minerals and trace elements.

This product cannot be used as a sole source of nutrition, but should be given in combination with another protein source to meet the need for lysine and tryptophan.

  • To be used only under medical supervision.
  • Only to be used by patients with proven glutaric aciduria type 1.
  • Not suitable for parenteral use.

GA1 Anamix infant is a food for medical use. Medical nutrition is recommended by a doctor or dietician.

Contains milk.

Preparation 

It is recommended to dissolve 15 grams of powder (3 scoops) in 90 ml of water.    

  • Pour the required amount of boiled water, cooled to body temperature, into a sterile feeding bottle.
  • Add the prescribed number of level measuring spoons to the water in the baby bottle.
  • Twist the cap on the feeding bottle and shake until the powder is dissolved.
  • Before feeding, check the temperature of the food on the inside of the wrist.

Storage advice

Closed: Recommended to keep cool and dry

Open: Store cool and closed

Prepared: Prepared food can be kept for a maximum of 24 hours, provided it is covered and stored in the refrigerator. However, for infants under 6 months of age, use the food within 1 hour of preparation and throw away any leftover food.

General information

One serving (15 grams of powder mixed with water to 100 ml) of GA1 Anamix infant provides 2 grams of protein equivalent.

The daily dose of GA1 Anamix infant must be determined by a doctor or dietician and depends on the age, weight and medical condition of the patient.

GA1 Anamix infant is available from the pharmacy or a facility company.
